I bought an electronic drum kit and started learning drums from absolute zero.
No teachers. No lessons.
Just songs I love and pure enjoyment from the process.
I’m not a complete beginner in music — I have a lot of experience as a bass player and I work as a music producer. I understand music theory well and used to program drums on a MIDI keyboard quite often.
But actually sitting behind the kit and playing like a real drummer — that’s completely new for me. Coordination, hand and foot technique, dynamics — everything is starting from scratch.
