A graduate of the City College of New York of the City University of New York, Prof. Small also taught for over fifteen years in the Department of Africana Studies of the City College of New York. He holds an Honorary Degree of Doctor of Divinity from Amen-Ra Theological Seminary, Los Angeles, CA. He taught courses on Pan-Africanism, Malcolm X, and on comparative African religions, which included several African spiritual systems, titled, African Religion and Survival; He also taught at New York City Technical College, teaching the course, African Folklore & Religion, both in the Diaspora and in Africa.

Gene “GROOVE’ Allen, internationally acclaimed actor, rap artist, voice-over artist, non-profit Executive Director, and financial wizard, shall be starring as the new host to TFNTV’s flagship show, TOTAL FAITH SHOW. Gene has starred in such hit movies as “House Party”, “House Party 2”, “Boomerang” and the Tina Turner biopic, “What’s Love Got to Do with It”, as well as “Brothers” on Fox TV. He has worked alongside such megastars as Martin Lawrence, Tisha Campbell, Eddie Murphy, Angela Bassett and Laurence Fisheburne. His music career in hip hop, began in the 80’s, with the release of a rap/club single titled, “Facts of Life”, later leading to his music with “GROOVE B CHILL”.
